Student Leadership is an integral part of the leadership team at Mangakahia Area School.

Supporting the Head Students there are the following groups:

• Student Council - representatives from every year level commencing Year 5
• Wellness Team - looking at ways to maintain and improve student hauora 
• MASSE Team - the kitiakis of the kura, actively leading enviornmentally sustainable practice at Mangakahia Area School.
• Sports Council
• House Captains
